NR prices drop sharply in Tokyo

Tokyo -- Prices on Tokyo's rubber exchanges moved sharply downward overnight..
On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract closed down by yen 24 at yen 359 ($4.43 per kg on Thursday 12 May. Shorter-dated prices were higher, but still closed below 400.
In Singapore, Sicom said short-dated RSS3 closed up by some $0.06 at around $5.11 with longer-dated contracts trading unchanged at around $4.88. Short-dated TSR 20 closed up by $0.08 at $4.52
Prices on India's NMCE exchange closed down by Rs 1 at Rs 229 ($5.09 per kilo
In China, the Shanghai Futures Exchange saw prices recover by about half a yuan , with May deliveries trading at around Yuan 34.2 ($5.26) per kilo
