ERJ staff report (DS)
Singapore -- ContiTech has opened a new service centre for printing blankets in Singapore. Phoenix Xtra Blankets and Conti-Air printing blankets will be cut to size and equipped with bars at the new unit. It will ensure that customers get their assembled printing blankets faster, said Conti.
ContiTech Print Service (S) Pte. Ltd., Singapore, is run by general manager Thomas Christensen, who is also Phoenix Xtra Blankets area manager for the Asia Pacific region. He is assisted by sales manager Jake Tan.
“Southeast Asia is regarded as one of the most important growth markets for the printing industry. That is why ContiTech Elastomer Coatings decided to open this new cutting and railing center,†said Dr. Thomas Perkovic, head of the Printing Blanket segment at ContiTech, at the inauguration of the center in Singapore on February 10, 2010. As a trade center for Southeast Asia, the site will supply primarily existing sales partners and graphics dealers as well as final customers in the Pacific Rim region, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.
