Goodyear adds jobs, capacity at US conveyor belt plant
Marysville, Ohio--Goodyear's conveyor belt plant in Ohio has added over 100 jobs in the last year, and added capacity, according to a press release from the company.
The company said it is currently busy supplying a large order for belts destined for the Atacama Desert of Chile. The biggest project at present, said the release, is an 8-mile (12 km) steel-reinforced conveyor belt designed to move ore from an open cast mine to the ore treatment works. The belt weighs in at 1300 tonnes.
