DuPont unit to hike Vamac prices
WILMINGTON, Del. (Oct. 13)--DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers, North America, will increase prices for Vamac ethylene acrylic elastomer grades effective Nov. 1, or as contracts allow.
The 15 cents per pound hike is in response to significant increases in energy and raw material costs, the company said. DuPont said it strives to offset escalating costs with productivity programs and other containment measures, but the sustained raw material and energy cost hikes make the pricing move necessary.
