Hi-Tech Carbon adds 40ktpa carbon black capacity at Gummidipoondi

Indian Rayon, a Birla group company, has informed the National Stock Exchange of India that its Hi-Tech Carbon unit has added 40 kt of capacity for carbon black at its facility in Gummidipoondi, India, bringing total capacity there to 84kt per year. The unit came on stream on 23 Feb. The addition brings Hi-Tech's total carbon black capacity to 160 kt.
