    Keon Park

Rugby, UK - Kumho Tyre UK has named Keon Park as its new managing director, the company announced 13 Feb.

The 48-year-old succeeds Myong Joong (Tino) Choi, who returns to Kumho’s Korean headquarters after heading up the UK operation for the last five years.

Park joined Kumho in 1995, where he originally worked in the field of “labour management,” said the Kumho statement.

He then worked on product quality, before spending five years in Europe as a technical engineer covering 15 countries in southern and eastern Europe.

Between 2010 and 2013 Park served as a technology team leader in the OE business in Korea and China, before being appointed as sales team leader for the OE business in the same region.

Commenting on his appointment, Park said he would use his experience in management and technology to develop Kumho’s “strong brand image” in the UK and Ireland.
