Warwick, UK – Bridgestone Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMIA) has named former Trellebrog Wheel Systems senior director Andrea Manenti as VP for its ‘north region’, which includes the UK and Ireland.

Prior to joining Bridgestone, Manenti was the global OE senior director at TWS, and prior to that served as managing director and country manager in the UK & Ireland as well as China, Bridgestone said in a 24 April.

Manenti will oversee Bridgestone’s operations in the UK and Ireland and will be responsible for all business units within the region,

He will report in to chief sales officer, Daniel Giroud, in Brussels-based BSEMIA and will head a new leadership team at Bridgestone’s Warwick-based offices.

The appointments follow Bridgestone’s restructuring scheme in the UK in November last year, which saw Brett Emerson and Greg Ward assuming the consumer and commercial business unit director roles respectively.

As part of his short term strategy, Manenti said he is planning to “re-engage” customers and drive performance within the region.

“Opening new routes to market will also be an area of focus, anticipate trends and find innovative ways to serve our customers remain paramount,” he added.
