Tokyo, Japan -Â Showa Denko has reported a 3.5 percent increase in operating income for the first six months of 2007, to Â¥4956 million (â‚¬30 million), on net sales up 13.6 percent, to Â¥485 000 million (â‚¬2934 million).
The company said sales of its Shoprene-brand chloroprene rubber were up due to higher selling prices.
