Yazd, Iran – Iranian tire maker Yazd Rubber Industries has completed an expansion project at its manufacturing facility in the southern city of Yazd, the company announced 14 Feb.
The IRR2,500 billion (€49 million) project, which was launched three years ago, increases production capacity for passenger car and light truck tires by 3,000 units to 12,000 units per day, the company said.
The project, according to the manufacturer, involved the addition of three tire building machines and 10 curing presses.
Established in 1985, Yazd Tire manufactures tires and tubes for bicycles, motorcycles and PCR tires under the brand Yazd Tire.
The company is also in a technical link-up with Vredestein Consulting since 2006 and currently manufacturers PCR tires under the Vredestein and Yazd tire brands.
