Hertford, UK – US rubber organisation ACS Rubber Division is expanding its international educational outreach programme for students, to drive engagement with the “next generation of rubber industry professionals."
To be spearheaded by the organisation’s European representative, Rubber Heart, the initiative aims to bring young scientists from all backgrounds to the Rubber Division.
These will include students at undergraduate and graduate levels, studying any aspect of elastomer chemistry, technology and engineering, UK-based Rubber Heart announced 21 Sept.
As part of the initiative, Rubber Division aims to increase student membership and participation in its student chapter programme, which offers “significant financial support and scholarship opportunities.”
The programme, according to Rubber Heart, is open to all universities and colleges throughout the world with the opportunity for smaller faculties to partner together for country or larger regional student chapters.
To set up, each student chapter needs a faculty advisor and a minimum of six student members.
The programme offers benefits such as student membership as well as registration to technical meetings at the Rubber Division spring meeting and the International Elastomer Conference (IEC), which will be held online 19-23 Oct.
