Dorking, UK – Tire Technology Expo organiser UKi Media & Events has issued a series of measures ahead of this month’s trade-fair in response to the spread of the coronavirus in China.
Exhibitors from China will have to confirm that staff attending the expo have not come directly from that country, said a statement from Tony Robinson, chief executive of UKi.
All exhibitors and visitors from China will be requested to sign a declaration confirming that the above policy has been adhered to for the expo, taking place 25-27 Feb in Hanover, Germany.
"Some Chinese exhibitors have already confirmed their booths will be staffed entirely by people from their European offices and subsidiaries," noted Robinson.
Meanwhile, all visitors to the expo will be asked to verify that they have not been to China in the 17 days prior to their arrival at the show.
Other policies that “may be imposed” include the wearing of face masks and use of hand gel, continued the statement, noting that these protective products will be supplied by the organisers.
“Please be assured of our vigilance at all times in dealing with health and well-being issues, regardless of where in the world they may emanate,” stated Robinson.
