Milan, Italy – Pirelli & C. SpA, in cooperation with the San Raffaele Hospital and the University of Milan, is offering serological screening for Covid-19 to more than 3,000 employees in Italy.
The tests, which will be offered on a voluntary basis as of this week, will ensure a “safe restart” of activities after the lockdown, said Pirelli in a 5 June statement.
The Italian tire maker said it would provide "rapid testing", through needle prick to the fingertip. Should the result call for it, venous exams and swabs will also be conducted.
The screening will be carried out with the maximum level of safety inside company areas with the support of qualified health workers.
