Ulvila, Finland – Cimcorp Group has appointed Tero Peltomäki as chief executive officer, with effect from 1 Feb, the Finnish automation company has announced.

Predecessor, Masatoshi Wakabayashi, who has led the company for the last six years, will continue as a Cimcorp board member and act as general advisor, added the 20 Jan statement.

Peltomäki has worked for Cimcorp since 1983, starting his career as a mechanical engineer. He then moved into sales and business development, before taking on his current role as executive vice president of operations and technology.

Outgoing CEO Wakabayashi said Peltomäki “is a highly regarded and well-known professional among our customers, stakeholders and all Cimcorpers around the world."

“One of my core tasks is to lead our company to the next level, together with all our employees and in collaboration with our owner,” Peltomäki stated in the release.

Wakabayashi has been Cimcorp’s CEO since 2015, following the group's acquisition by Murata Machinery Ltd in 2014.
