London – The International Rubber Conference Organisaiton (IRCO) has announced new dates for global rubber event IRC2020, which was postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Organised by the Indian Rubber Institute, the event, which will be themed around sustainable technology, innovation and mobility, will be held 15-17 April 2021 in Chennai, India, IRCO announced 11 May.

IRC2020 was originally set to be held 15-17 October in Chennai.

RubberCon2020, which is a smaller and more specialised event, has also been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Organised by the French rubber association (AFICEP), the conference was to be held 4-5 June in Paris with focus on environment and recycling.

According to the IRCO update, RubberCon organisers are still working to determine new arrangements and timings for the conference.

Both the IRC and RubberCon events are held within the framework of IRCO, which is an association of rubber societies from around the world.
