London – Natural rubber (NR) prices fell in almost all Far East markets ahead of the Chinese New Year on 25 Jan.

Apart from Kuala Lumpur latex, which registered growth, all NR indices declined in the two weeks to 23 Jan.

The drops reversed an uptrend observed in the markets in recent weeks, fuelled by higher oil prices and ease of trade tensions between China and the US.

Shanghai SHFE ru2005: Yuan 12,085 (23 Jan) compared to Yuan 13,100/tonne (10 Jan)

Tokyo Tocom RSS3 back month: Yen191/kg compared to Yen201.4/kg compared to Yen198.9/kg

Tokyo Tocom TSR20 back month: Yen167.4/kg compared to Yen165.8/kg compared to Yen160.9/kg

    Singapore SGX TSR20: $1.44/kg compared to $1.48/kg

    Kuala Lumpur SMR20: $ 147.05/100kg compared to $149.35/100kg

Kuala Lumpur Latex: $115.57/100 kg compared to $113.89/100kg
