Cologne, Germany – The rescheduled edition of The Tire Cologne 2021 expo has been cancelled due to the continuing impact of the global pandemic, organiser MesseKoeln has announced.

The biennial tire-trade show, which had been postponed from 2020, will next take place in May 2022, with the German tire retailers and vulcanisation trade association the BRV as industry sponsor.

“Unfortunately there has not been a significant improvement in the [pandemic] situation in Germany, Europe and the whole world, as had been hoped,” said KoelnMesse’s 10 Feb announcement.

"Together we are now focusing our attention on the event in the coming year, in order to again position THE TIRE COLOGNE as the leading global industry trade fair," added Yorick M. Lowin, managing director of the BRV.
