Marangoni to increase retreading materials prices

Rovereto, Italy – Marangoni’s Retreading Systems division is to increase prices for rubber materials used to retread tires in all European countries from 1 March.

The €0.20/kg hike, it said, reflects rapid rising raw materials costs due to “increasing demand at a global level as well as a reduction in available quantities.”

Raw materials trends have already prompted new-tire and retread-materials manufacturers to announce price increases or schedule them for the coming weeks.

According to Marangoni, these developments could actually increase the competitiveness of retreading, as products use less raw materials than new tires.

Marangoni Retreading Systems is a division of the Marangoni Group, a global supplier of materials and technologies for the cold retreading of truck and bus tires.
