Diamond Bar, California – Nexen Tire Corp. has named Brian YoonSeok Han, currently the firm's global marketing vice president, CEO of Nexen Tire America Inc., the South Korean tire maker's US sales company.

Han succeeds JS Kim, who is retiring after serving as CEO for the past two years.

As CEO, Han is responsible for leading Nexen's strategic direction and operations in US and Canada, as well as providing support to Nexen headquarters for the company's North American OE sales and technical center in Richfield, Ohio.

Han brings 25-plus years of tire industry experience to his new position, including 15 years with Nexen Tire.

Prior to accepting the job as global marketing vice president, Han spent six years as president of Nexen Tire Italia after working at Nexen headquarters from 2005-2011.

He began his career in the tire industry in 1994 with Kumho Tire.

"On behalf of Nexen Tire America, I would like to thank Kim for his leadership and dedication to the company while serving as CEO and throughout his career with Nexen Tire," Han said.

In his new role, Han said, he would aim to “elevate the Nexen Tire brand to new heights across all of our industry verticals."
