Wuxi, Jiangsu – Two plants of Chinese tire maker General Science, in China and Thailand, produced their first tire respectively on 27 and 28 Dec, 2019.

Located in the company’s headquarters city of Wuxi, Jiangsu, the 70,000m2 Chinese facility has capacity to make 1.2 million truck and bus tires a year.

The 510,000m2 manufacturing unit in Rayong, Thailand – General Science’s first overseas site – launched its first tire the next day.

The Thai facility has an annual manufacturing capacity of 6 million passenger car tires and 1 million truck and bus tires.

Further details of both projects in the Jan/Feb issue of ERJ magazine.
