Bridgestone recalls truck tires in North America for possible steel cord exposure

Washington — Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations and Bridgestone Canada are voluntarily recalling approximately 2,700 Bridgestone- and Firestone-brand commercial truck tires due to a risk of exposed steel body cords in their sidewalls.

All of the tires were manufactured between June 10 and 30, 2018, at the company’s plant in Warren County, Tennessee, and sold in the US, Canada and Mexico, Bridgestone told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). All of the tires are size 425/65R22.5. They are as follows:
