Automotive tariffs will hurt US, industry bosses warn

Washington — Nearly 50 witnesses from various corners of the US vehicle industry gave an overwhelmingly negative view of the Trump administration’s proposed tariffs on imported autos and auto parts at a 19 July hearing before the US Department of Commerce.
