Qingdao, China – Mesnac appointed its chief financial officer He Ning as new chairman in June upon resignation of former chairman Yuan Zhongxue due to professional reasons.
Yuan no longer holds any position at Mesnac, but remained as its controlling shareholder with a 15.5% stake, according to a company announcement.
He Ning, 60, is a US citizen with three decades of experience in finance and investment. Prior to joining Mesnac in 2017, He has served as chief representative of Merrill Lynch Beijing Representative Office, chairman of Morgan Stanley Bank International (China), and chairman of Chinese conglomerate Zhongjin Guotai’s investment management arm.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Beijing College of Economics and a master’s from the University of Texas.
Mesnac also appointed Rudolf Scharping, Germany’s former federal minister of defence and former national chairman of the SPD, as its new director.
