Kumho recalling tires in US for belt issue

Washington — Kumho Tire USA Inc. is recalling 1,773 Kumho Solus KH16 all-season grand touring tires, size P225/65R17, for possible belt separation under severe conditions.

The tires were manufactured between 26 March and 1 April 2017, at Kumho’s plant in Macon, Georgia, the tire maker told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Approximately 21% of the tires being recalled have the defect.
