Japan’s automotive industry concerned by Trump tariffs

Tokyo – Japan’s automotive manufacturing lobby warned that prices will increase following US president Trump’s new tariffs on steel and aluminium but said it was too early to say by how much.

The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association said March 15 that it is still waiting to see what kind of exemptions might be made for US trading partners beyond Canada and Mexico.
