Goodyear’s $2.7m case remanded to district courts

San Francisco, California – The US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has remanded a $2.7 million (€2.4 million) damage award against Goodyear and two attorneys who represented the tire maker in a product liability lawsuit.

In remanding the case to the US District Court for the District of Arizona, the Ninth Circuit was under orders from the US Supreme Court, which in April reversed and remanded the damage award on the grounds that the lower courts used faulty legal reasoning to grant it.
