Boto in talks to build tire plant in Malaysia

Jasin, Malaysia – China’s Boto Tyre signed a memorandum in April with Malacca government to build a tire plant in the state’s Jasin city, said the company.

Boto plans to pump €255 million (1.2 billion ringgit) into the new plant, which has a total area of 60,000 square metres, according to the website of China’s Ministry of Commerce.

Based in Dongying, Shandong, Boto has 3 million unit annual capacity for truck and bus tires with 80,000 units’year for retreads.
