Mumbai, India – Indian tire-maker Ceat Ltd is planning to increase tire production capacity to meet growing demand in the country, local news reports announced 19 Dec.
The €400-million investment will see Ceat increasing manufacturing capacity for truck and bus radials to 1 million tires per annum; 2-wheeler tires to 17 million units per year and passenger car radials to 6 million tires per years, said India’s Business Standard.
According to managing director Anant Goenka, Ceat aims to improve its focus on 2-wheeler and PCR products, both within the OEM and aftersales markets in India.
