Turkey opens composite technologies centre

Istanbul, Turkey – A composite technologies center of excellence, built jointly by tire cord producer Kordsa Global and Sabanci University has opened in Istanbul’s innovation hub, Teknopark,

The €30-million centre, which aims to create a technology hub through university-industry cooperation was opened on 29 Aug in the presence of Turkish prime minister Binali Yıldırım.

According to a Kordsa press release the centre will operate in the field of high-technology composite materials, to service industries such as aviation and automotive.
