Boston, Massachusetts – Cabot Corp. will increase prices, up to 6 percent globally, for speciality carbon products, effective 1 Aug, or as contracts allow.
These adjustments, said the company on 30 June, will be implemented independent of raw material adjustments.
This price increase, according to Cabot, is due to “escalating operating costs”, as well as environmental compliance costs associated with the firm’s investment in technology.
Cabot stated that the increase was necessary to ensure Cabot remained “a reliable, long-term supplier of high quality products and services.”
