Midland, Michigan / Wilmington, Delaware - Dow Chemical Co and DuPont have selected the senior management team for the three businesses being set up through their planned merger, the companies announced 23 May.
Dow COO Jim Fitterling is to become COO of DowDuPont’s materials business, James Collins is to be COO of the agriculture business, and Marc Doyle will become COO of the merged company's speciality products business.
Meanwhile, Howard Ungerleider is to become DowDuPont's CFO. The companies already had said that Andrew Liveris, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Dow, will become executive chairman and Edward Breen the CEO.
As well as other duties, Liveris will head the Material Science business, and Breen will have responsibility for the Agriculture and Specialty Products businesses. Both executives will report to the DowDuPont board.
The appointments will be effective upon completion of the proposed merger transaction, which is expected to close in the second half of 2016.
