Essen, Germany – The Future Tire Conference, organised by ERJ publisher Crain Communications, will take place for the first time during the international tire industry event Reifen and co-located Rubber Tech Europe in Essen in 2016.
The conference is focused on factors shaping the future of the tire industry and its supply chain, including automotive market trends, environmental & safety regulations and issues around the availability and price of rubber and other key raw materials.
"Reifen at Messe Essen will be the ideal setting for the Future Tire Conference,” said Steve Crowhurst, publishing and events director at Crain Communications. “All the important decision takers and experts will be in situ in Essen.
"One absolute success factor will be the internationality with around two thirds international exhibitors and visitors. We are looking forward to the cooperation with Messe Essen's team which has experience in the sector."
According to Reifen organiser Messe Essen, Future Tire will offer an attractive supporting programme to the exhibitors at and visitors to Reifen and Rubber Tech Europe.
“At the Future Tire Conference relating to the future of the tire industry, representatives of international associations, manufacturers and other companies will discuss subjects such as new production processes and raw materials for more sustainability,” said a Messe Essen statement.
Meanwhile, Messe Essen and the Chinese United Rubber Corp. (CURC) have extended the contract for Rubber Tech Europe, which premiered at Reifen 2014, up to and including 2020.
“In the future, too, the trade fair relating to the stage before the tire production will take place under the roof of the premier global fair Reifen at Messe Essen, added the Messe Essen statement.
“Reifen will, therefore, secure for itself the important subject of the primary production for tires in the long term and will be the only trade fair anywhere in the world to portray the entire value added chain of the tire.”
The range on show at Reifen and Rubber Tech Europe at Messe Essen will, therefore, extend from the stage before the production via manufacturing and trading right up to retreading and recycling.
Reifen and Rubber Tech Europe 2016 will be open at Messe Essen from 24 to 27 May. The exhibitors will include the world's leading tire makers and trading firms as well as leading players throughout the supply chain including chemical companies and machine constructors.
