Huber Engineering Materials appoints new president

Atlanta, Georgia – Huber Engineered Materials (HEM), a division of J.M. Huber Corp., has announced the retirement of Andy Trott as its president, to be succeeded by Chuck Herak as of 1 Jan.
Herak served as the vice president & general manager of Huber’s silica business. Prior to joining Huber in 2009, Herak was with Hercules (now Ashland) in various positions including the role of general manager – coatings additives.
“We will greatly miss Andy and his terrific leadership impact on Huber, as he’s been a tremendous asset,” says Mike Marberry, Huber’s CEO.
“Under Chuck’s leadership, Huber’s global silica business has been a very strong performer, and we’re looking forward to have him now lead the HEM business.”
Huber has selected Matt O’Brien for the position of vice president & general manager of the GCC business.
