Falken tire gets Auto Zeitung approval
ERJ staff report (TP)
Offenbach am Main, Germany – Falken’s Azenis FK453 landed among the top three tires awarded a "highly recommended" rating by German magazine Auto Zeitung for braking distances in wet and dry conditions.
It also received “good” results for aquaplaning (longitudinal and lateral), and notched up “great” marks in the most safety-relevant categories.
"Falken picks up points for good deceleration on dry asphalt and wet skidpad at high speeds. The tire delivers precise steering control, stable braking and sporty, snappy rear-axle performance," said Auto Zeitung’s test team.
Falken Product Planning Manager Andreas Giese said: "We're very proud of these test results, and of course the first thing we did was to pass this great feedback on to our Japanese development team.
“But we have no intention of resting on our laurels [and] that's why these independent tests are so important – they show us exactly where we need to fine-tune."
