Infinity Tyres tastes success at 2013 British Drift Championship
ERJ staff report (BC)
Dubai – The Acorn Infinity Motorsport (AIM) team celebrated a first-place podium finish during the latest round of the 2013 British Drift Championship held at the Teesside Autodrome, Middlesbrough. Mark Lappage beat a field of 47 drivers in hot and humid conditions.
Lappage was racing against some of the UK’s top drifters, said Infinity, but finally came through in the final against Mark Huxley in his V8 powered Volvo.
Lappage said: “Without the support of Infinity Tyres this victory would not have been possible. In the extreme heat the tyres performed superbly. … To be on top of the podium after just over a year shows the strength of the team … and rewards Infinity’s faith in us. With two rounds still to go, we will be pushing for more points and a charge up the leader board”
