No bad hair days with Kraiburg TPE
ERJ staff report (BC)
Waldkraiburg, Germany – Goldwell, a supplier of professional hair care products, selected Thermolast K thermoplastic elastomer compounds from Kraiburg TPE for its latest pump dispenser packaging.
Sebastian Kraus, manager for packaging development with Kao Germany, which owns the Goldwell brand, said: “We needed a material for the membrane inside the dispenser capable of withstanding both chemical aggression from hair colourants and mechanical stress during use. Our materials also have to comply with European food contact regulations”.
Kraiburg TPE cites its thermoplastic elastomers as being free from polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), phthalates and allergens, as well being REACH-compliant.
