Giti appoints former Michelin director to head of German markets

Bonn, Germany – Giti Tire has appointed former Michelin director Rainer Harter as a general manager D-A-CH with responsibility for the German, Austrian and Swiss markets.
Harter will be in charge of developing passenger car business along the GT Radial, Primewell and Runway brands, along with billing truck and bus business in the mid-range segment, the focus on creating added value services to fleets, Giti said.
He joins Giti from Michelin where are he held the position of commercial director responsible for the truck, bus and earthmover business for the D-A-CH region.
” I am excited to join the Giti Tire team at a very important time in the company’s development,” Harter said. “Our aim is a 10% market share by 2015 for the GT Radial brand in both the passenger car, and truck and bus divisions.”
