ERJ staff report (BC)
Larnaca, Cyprus – A Cyprus Airways Airbus A320-200, registration 5B-DCH performing flight CY-343 from Beirut (Lebanon) to Larnaca (Cyprus) on 5 May, landed on Larnaca airport's runway 04 but suffered a flat tire during roll out (while decelerating on the runway), reports Simon Hradecky of the Aviation Herald.
The aircraft vacated the runway and stopped on a taxiway parallel to it, where emergency services attended, passengers disembarked onto the taxiway and were bussed to the terminal.
Passengers reported that the touchdown appeared quite normal with no hard landing. A bang was heard shortly after touchdown.
The Airbus was reported to be still on the ground about 14 hours after landing.
