Toyo to make plastic auto parts in Thailand

Osaka, Japan – Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. plans to start manufacturing plastic constant velocity (CV) joint boots in Thailand in April 2014, reports Plastics News.

The Tokyo-based company started making rubber anti-vibration parts in Thailand in December 2011. Now the company has decided to begin manufacturing plastic CV joint boots used for automobile drive shaft joints at a plant in the Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate in Chonburi province.

According to Toyo, car makers are ramping up production in Asia, particularly in Thailand….
