Wacker develops tin-free silicone rubber catalyst

Munich – Wacker Chemie A.G. has formulated a tin-free catalyst for two-part, room temperature-curing silicone rubber grades for mouldmaking and encapsulation applications, reports Rubber & Plastics News.

Elastosil Catalyst NEO is a tin-free catalyst for two-part, condensation-curing silicone mouldmaking compounds. Silicone rubber grades of this type are used for making detailed moulds and reproductions of technical items, objects of art and archaeological artefacts.
