NR prices creep upwards

London - Rubber prices rose slightly overnight. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract were trading up slightly at just above yen 251 ($3.14) in late trading on Wednesday 24 October. Shorter-dated prices were trading down at around yen 238.

In Singapore, the April 2013 TSR20 contract on SGX was trading up by a couple of cents at $2.90 in late trading on Wednesday evening; November 2012 prices were 2 cents lower at $2.82.

In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for November rose by a fraction of a yuan to close at Yuan 23.7 ($3.79) per kilo on Wednesday. Prices for January 2013 also rose by 0.3 to yuan 24.4.
