London - Rubber prices increased overnight. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract were trading up 5 at yen 257 ($3.31) near the end of the evening session on Thursday. Shorter-dated prices were trading up 6 at yen 255 on Thursday evening.
In Singapore, the March 2013 TSR20 contract on SGX rose by 5 to trade around at $2.91; October 2012 prices were up - by 2 -- at $2.84 toward the end of the Thursday evening session.
In India, NMCE said October prices rose by 1 to close just under Rs 192 ($3.61). November prices were unchanged to close just under Rs 189.
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for October closed up 0.3 at Yuan 23.4 ($3.71) per kilo on Thursday. November prices were also higher, to close at yuan 23.5 (from 23.3).
