London - Rubber prices trended upwards on Thursday. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract were up by a yen at just over yen 220 ($2.80) at the end of the afternoon session on Thursday. Shorter-dated prices were unchanged to close at yen 213 on Thursday.
In Singapore, the February 2013 TSR20 contract on SGX was trading up 3 at $2.58; September 2012 prices rose by a fraction, to trade around $2.53 toward the end of the Thursday evening session.
In India, NMCE said September prices fell by 3 to Rs 166 ($3.01). October prices also declined, to close at just under Rs 164.
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for September rose by a fraction of a yuan to close at Yuan 21.6 ($3.40) per kilo on Thursday. October prices also fell slightly to close at yuan 21.7.
