Full-year sales fell at Zeon

Tokyo - Zeon Corp reported lower sales, and profit for the 12 months to 31 March 2012. The rubber manufacturer said sales in the period amounted to yen 262.8 billion (euro 2551 million), down 2.8 percent on the figure of yen 270.4 billion reported a year earlier.
Operating profit fell 9 percent, to yen 32,123 million.
The company said it expects sales in the current year (12 months ending March 2013) to grow by 10.3 percent, to yen 290 billion, while operating profits are expected to be almost level at yen 32 billion. However, the company forecasts a 34 percent fall in operating profit for the six months to September 2012.
