Business decline makes competition tough in US golf grip market

AKRON-The fact the business of golf is shrinking in the US is well documented: golf course closings are far outpacing openings, and the number of active golfers has been falling steadily for a number of years.

The reason why is up to debate-the recent recession, the cost of engaging in the game, the fact people don’t want to or can’t spend several hours on a course are cited in several studies.
