London -- Rubber prices moved up sharply over the weekend. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract moved up 8 yen to yen 326 ($4.09) per kg on 20 February. Shorter-dated prices jumped by 10 yen to close at yen 310 on Monday.
In Singapore, the TSR20 contract on SGX was trading up by a couple of cents at $3.78 for July deliveries and up by 2 cents at $3.74 for March deliveries a few minutes before the close on Monday.
In India, NMCE said February deliveries closed up slightly over the week endat Rs 190 ($3.86).
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for March moved up marginally to close at Yuan 28.9 ($4.59) per kilo on Monday.
