Yokohama previews Geneva offerings

Tokyo - The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., will exhibit new two products at the 82nd Geneva Motor Show in Geneva, Switzerland and will also present its concept for the tyre of the future. The products will be released across Europe during March,
The new products are the standard model BluEarth AE-01 from the fuel-efficient passenger-car tyre series BluEarth, and a range of SUV tyres - Geolandar SUV - with improved fuel efficiency.
Yokohama's concept tyre adopts "Nature Design" inspired by forms and phenomena existing in the natural environment. It will be shown fitted on an electric formula car, the Yokohama Formula EV X-01, produced by the Japan EV Club.
The AE-01 is a standard tyre for passenger cars in the fuel-efficient BluEarth tyre series. It will be available in 40 sizes from 205/55R16 91H to 155/80R13 79T. It will be sold around the world, starting in Europe.
The Geolander SUV -is described as a next-generation SUV tyre with improved fuel efficiency. It will be available in 27 sizes from 245/50R20 102V to 205/70R15 96H. First sold in Japan in February, it will be released gradually throughout the world, starting with Europe.
