ContiTech upgrades airspring, V-belt capacity at Vahrenwald

Hannover-Vahrenwald, Germany -- ContiTech is expanding production capacity at its headquarters in Hannover-Vahrenwald. The company makes air spring system for commercial vehicles, rail vehicles and industrial applications a t the Vahrenwald plant. Further investments are planned as the demand for ContiTech air spring systems continues to rise.
The company said it is installing new production machines, expanding existing machines and building up the material preparation. Construction is for a new raw materials hall wil begin before year-end 2011.
All business units located at the plant will be contributing to the investments. The ContiTech Power Transmission Group makes timing belts, V-ribbed belts and V-belts for car and truck engines as well as for industrial systems for worldwide demand.
