JSR says Chiba plant is now operating normally
ERJ staff report (DS)
Tokyo -- JSR Corp has said its Chiba plant is now operating normally. Previously, the plant had been operating below capacity, due to interruptions to raw materials supplies. According to the IISRP, JSR has capacity for 72kt annually of BR at Chiba.
The company said there is no change to the status of its plant in Kashima, where EPR is not being produced due to lack of raw materials, and production is unlikely to be resumed before 20 May. Other products are being manufactured at below normal capacity due to raw materials supply interruptions.
The IISRP said JSR has annual capacity for 41 kt of synthetic polyisoprene and a combined capacity for 36 kt of EPR and EPDM at the Kashima unit.
