Tokyo - The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. as said its subsidiaries in China and Vietnam have obtained ISO 14001 certification. The two companies are Suzhou Yokohama Tire Co., Ltd., a tyre production and sales company in China, and Yokohama Tyre Vietnam Inc. (YTVI), a tyre production and sales company in Vietnam.
Since it commenced business operations in August 2008, Suzhou Yokohama Tire Co., Ltd., with 422 employees (as of end of December 2010), has produced and sold steel radial tyres for trucks and buses for the Chinese market.
With 281 employees (as of end of December 2010), YTVI has, since its inauguration in January 2008, produced cross-ply tyres for motorcycles and light trucks for the Vietnamese market, and tyres for industrial vehicles and emergency tyres, etc., for the Japanese market.
