Azerbaijan to privatise Baku tyre plant

Baku, Azerbaijan -- The Azerbaijan government is to sell almost 100 percent of the shares in JSC Azersin (Azerbaijan Tyre). There is no restriction on local nationality for potential bidders.
Bids must be in by the end of March 2011 and should include plans for investment and modernisation of the plant, located at 20, Yu. Safarov Str, Baku.
The enterprise has been operating since 1959 with personnel of 530 employees. ERJ lists capacity as 2 million units per year in car, truck, agricultural and motorcycle segments.
